Kur’an, okuma-yazma bilmeyen bir topluma gelmişti. Me’mun (ö. 833) zamanında Beytülhikme’de tamamı dini ilimlerin dışında on bin kitap bulunuyordu. Bu bilimsel gelişmelerde hiç şüphesiz Kur’an ve Sünnet’in insanları ilme teşvikinin büyük rolü vardır. Resûl-i Ekrem’in oluşturduğu bu bilinç, müslümanları on asır boyunca dünyada bilim öncüsü yapmıştı.
The Qur’an came to a people who did not know how to read and write. Together with Islam, this society recorded developments that were difficult to explain in science. Me’m one. At the time of 833 there were ten thousand books in the whole Bethlehem, except religious sciences. At the end of the 9th century, all of the world’s important works were translated into Arabic from Surian, Sanskrit, Persian, Greek and Latin. A hundred years ago, the works of Muslims began to be translated into Latin and other European languages. The Renaissance was founded on these works, and Muslims led the world in science without a doubt until the end of the 15th century. In these scientific developments, the Qur’an and Sunnah have no doubt a major role in encouraging people to know. But it is not possible to record this development only with verbal incentives. We needed a real example of this from the beginning. This is Hz. Muhammad was the example of science and technology in many matters, as he was the example of the people. The transportation of the existing techniques in Mecca to Medina, the adoption of foreign techniques, the development of ancient techniques, the passage to the original practices for the development of science and art, created a consciousness of science and technology among Muslims in the early days before they realized that it was the one. This consciousness created by the Prophet Ekrem has made Muslims the world’s leading scientist for ten centuries.
