Teaching Russian as a foreign language acquires certain features depending on the native language of the students. Differential features of the native language and a foreign language create difficulties at all language levels. Therefore, the comparison of languages of different systems, which are the Russian and Turkish languages, is an important methodological technique for studying a non-native language. It is the comparison that makes it possible, by analyzing variations in similarities and differences in the forms and semantics of units of different levels of the compared languages, to identify their common and distinctive features.In Turkey, interest in learning the Russian language is constantly growing, and accordingly, the number of contrasting works is also growing, which makes it possible to identify interferences between the systems of these languages. This article presents the most common cases of such interferences. The author classifies the difficulties associated with the study of the grammatical structure of the Russian language by Turkish students. These are the difficulties arising in the use of the category of gender, animateness and inanimateness, means of negation, difficulties in the use of Russian cases and verb types. Based on these nuances, it is possible to predict and, accordingly, prevent the main types of mistakes made by Turkish students in the practical implementation of grammatical knowledge and skills.
