İlk inen âyetler içinde “O, insanı alaktan yarattı” (el-Alak 96/2) ayetinde yer alan ‘alak’ lafzı, sûreye ismini vermiş ayrıca ilk ayetlerde insanın yaratılışının alak evresinden anlatıma başlanması dikkat çekmiştir. Tefsir geleneğinde çoğunlukla Kelimenin “pıhtılaşmış kan” anlamı üzerinde durulmuştur. Ne var ki 20. yüzyılda teknik ilerlemeler sayesinde insanın anne karnındaki geçirdiği aşamaların görüntülenebilmesi ve kaydedilen tıbbî gelişmeler neticesinde âyetteki ‘alak’ın mahiyetinde kaydedilen yeni bulgular, bu kelimenin pek dikkate alınmayan diğer bir anlamının da onun mahiyetini açıklayıcı yönü farkedilmiş ve bu durum “alak”ın îcâz yönü üzerinde yeni ufuklar açmıştır. Bu ve diğer kevnî âyetlerdeki kelimeler üzerinde bilimsel bulgular eşliğinde yapılan yeni yorumlar, bilimsel tefsir anlayışının yaygınlaşmasını ve bu anlayışın doğru bir tefsir usulü içinde ilerleyip ilerlemediğine dair tenkitleri de beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu çalışmada, ‘alak’ kelimesine tefsirler ve günümüz meallerinde nasıl mana verildiği etraflıca incelenmiş ve oluşan yorum farklılıkları ve bunların tarihi seyri gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada ayrıca bilimsel tefsir etrafında oluşan kimi usûlî yaklaşımlar bağlamında ‘alak’ örneğinin etkisi tartışılmıştır.
In the first verses of the Qur’an, “He created man from the wicked” (Al-Alak 96/2) the word “Alak” has given the name to the Qur’an and the first verses of the Qur’an have attracted the beginning of the Qur’an in the first verses of the Qur’an. In the interpretation tradition, it is mostly focused on the meaning of the word "blowed blood". However, in the twentieth century, thanks to the technical advances, the capability of the phases that man passed in the mother’s stomach and the recorded medical developments, the new findings recorded in the meaning of the ‘alak’ in the verse, the other meaning of this word that was not much considered, also noticed the explanatory direction of its meaning, and this situation opened new horizons on the direction of the ‘alak’. The new interpretations accompanied by scientific findings on the words in these and other kewenic verses have also brought the spread of the scientific interpretation understanding and the suggestions that this understanding is progressing in a correct interpretation procedure. In this study, the interpretations of the word 'alak' and how it is administered in today's meals have been thoroughly studied and formed comments differences and their historical course. In the study also discussed the effect of the 'alak' sample in the context of some practical approaches that are formed around scientific interpretation.
