Sanat, duygu ve düşüncenin herhangi bir biçime aktarılarak yeni bir varoluş kazandığı özel bir süreçtir. Sanatçıyı, içinde yaşadığı çevredeki tüm sosyo-ekonomik ve kültürel öğeler etkilemekte ve bireysel yaşantısı da eklenerek sanatçının yaratıcılık perspektifinden yansımaktadır. Küreselleşme, tüketim kültürü, kimlik kavramı, aidiyet sorunsalı, yabancılaşma, acı kavramı (bireysel ve toplumsal) ve bilimsel-teknolojik gelişmeler gibi sosyal yaşamı değiştirip, yaşam biçimlerini dönüştüren tüm bu olgular 21. yüzyılın farkındalık sürecinin karakteristik yapısını oluşturmaktadır. Bu açıdan değerlendirildiğinde, mekânın sanatçı veya izleyici tarafından algılanmasına yönelikbilindik anlamlar tümüyle değişmiş ve tartışmaya açık bir durum kazanmıştır. Sanatçılar yeni düşünsel dinamiklerini farklı malzemelerle, tekrarı olmayan biçimlerde mekâna özgü/özgün yapısal çözümlemeler gerçekleştirmektedirler. Sanatçı-mekân-izleyici arasındaki bu karşılıklı etkileşim kapsamında bu çalışma; çağdaş sanat pratikleri bakımından mekânın bu değişen algısı Eduardo Chillida, Sacha Sosno, Paul Cummins-Tom Piper, Emmanuelle Moureaux ve Refik Anadol özelinde ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada, bu sanatçıların mekâna yerleştirmeleri ve izleyici ile ilişkileri yöntemsel/sanatsal yaklaşımları seçilmiş yapıtları üzerinden okumalarla değerlendirilmiştir.
Art is a particular process in which emotion and thought gain a new existence by transmitting them into any form. The artist is influenced by all the socio-economic and cultural elements in the environment in which he lives, and by adding his individual life, he reflects from the artist’s creative perspective. Globalization, consumption culture, the concept of identity, the problem of affiliation, foreignization, the painful concept (individual and social) and scientific and technological developments, all these phenomena that change and transform their way of life form the characteristic structure of the 21st century consciousness process. When assessed from this point of view, the known meanings aimed at the perception of the space by the artist or the spectator have changed entirely and gained a state open to discussion. Artists carry out their new thought dynamics with different materials, in unrepeated forms of space-specific/originary structural solutions. In the framework of this mutual interaction between the artist-factory-visitor, this study has been addressed in this changing perception of the space in terms of contemporary art practices in Eduardo Chillida, Sacha Sosno, Paul Cummins-Tom Piper, Emmanuelle Moureaux and Refik Anadol. In the study, the placement of these artists in the space and their relations with the audience were evaluated by reading methodological/artistic approaches through their chosen works.

When evaluated from this point of view, the familiar meanings for the perception of the space by the artist or the viewer have completely changed and become open to discussion. The artists perform site-specific/ original structural analyzes with their new intelectual Dynamics in different materials and non-repetitive forms. Within the scope of this mutual interaction between artist, space and audience, this study; in terms of contemporary art practices, this changing perception of space is addresses by Eduardo Chillida, Sacha Sosno, Paul Cummins-Tom Piper, Emmanuelle Moureaux and Refik Anadol.
