Abstract:

One of the decisions taken at the Erzurum and Sivas Congress was the opening of the parliament again. It was decided to open the parliament with the approval of the Ali Rıza Pasha Government and Padişah. In this direction, as in many places of the country, the Silverhane elections were held in December 1919. In Silverhane, Anadolu and Rumeli Defense Law Society candidates and independent candidates participated in the elections. Finally, the wise and intelligent gentlemen have managed to be selected as a silver. The last Ottoman Mebusan Assembly is very important in the life of the Turkish Parliament. The parliament was opened in Istanbul on 12 January 1920. The most important execution of the parliament is to make the Misak's National Decisions, with which the programme of the Turkish National Struggle has been determined. However, the center of the Ottoman Empire and the Last Ottoman Mebusan Assembly were occupied by the opposition states on 16 March 1920. This ended the work of the parliament. Then the Sultan Vahdettin parliament was dissolved. In this study, using archive documents, the press of the revolution, memoirs, official statements, the final Ottoman Mebusan Assembly election process and propaganda activities will be examined in Silverhane.
