This study, which pupose to analyze the relationship between assessment literacy and epistemological beliefs of teacher candidates attending the KPSS course, was designed in the relational screening model, which is one of the quantitative research methods. The study group of the research consists of 216 pre-service teachers determined by appropriate sampling. The Epistemological Belief Scale and the Assessment Literacy Inventory were used as data collection tools. The analysis of the data was made with the help of SPSS26 statistics program. According to the results obtained from the research, it was seen that there was a significant difference in the belief that epistemological beliefs only one truth sub-dimension as stated by the gender of the teacher candidates. There was no statistically significant difference between the epistemological belief sub-dimensions according to other demographic variables. It has been observed that the assessment literacy of the teacher candidates was in the field of determining the measurement and evaluation methods and techniques at the highest level. It was seen that the most inadequate evaluation literacy of teacher candidates was in the field of teaching and reviewing the learning processes. While there was a significant difference between the assesment literacy of the teacher candidates according to their gender, no significant difference was found according to other demographic characteristics. It has been concluded that there was a low level and positive correlation between the epistemological beliefs of the teacher candidates and their first, second and third assessment literacy competency areas.
