Abstract:

This study has been conducted descriptively to determine the lifelong learning tendencies (LLT) of the nursing students who take integrated education. The sample of the study has been consisted of 716 nursing students studying with an integrated curriculum at a state university in a province. The data have been collected by face-to-face interview method using the “Personal Information Form” and the “Lifelong Learning Tendencies Scale” (LLTS). It has been determined that total mean score of the nursing students in the LLTS was 126.65±18.89 (at a high level). It has been determined that the students whose gender were female, who were in the second and third grades, who had regular reading habits, who had a good foreign language level, and who participated in personal development activities had higher mean LLTS scores. It has been found that the LLT of nursing students who receive education with the integrated education curriculum was high. Cultural learning, social learning, etc., to improve students' lifelong learning behaviors. It may be recommended to integrate the subject headings as cultural learning, social learning etc. into the curriculum and/or include additional elective courses.
