Abstract:

A total of 251 youth camp leaders, with an average age of 24.56 ± 2.99, 124 women and 127 men, voluntarily participated in this study, which was carried out to examine the mental intelligence traits and teamwork tendencies of youth camp leaders. In the collection of data of the study, "spiritual intelligence self-report inventory" (SİSRİ-24), which was developed by King (2008), and the validity and reliability in Turkish was ensured by Yiğit-Seyfi (2016) and "teamwork tendency scale" developed by Tuncer (2008) was used. In the study, outliers were revised and the homogeneity of variances was checked. In addition to the Independent-Samples t test, One-Way Anova analysis, the correlation method was used within the context of the relational model. As a result; It was determined that youth camp leaders did not show significant changes in mental intelligence dimension in terms of demographic characteristics, and they showed significant changes in terms of gender and age groups in teamwork tendency. In the relational context, it was found that there are significant relationships between the three dimensions of the teamwork scale (trust, diagnosis of the problem, cooperation, and teamwork) and the dimensions of the mental intelligence scale. Moreover, as the mental intelligence levels of youth camp leaders increase, trust in teamwork, cooperation and teamwork will increase; It can be said that as the level of mental intelligence (personal meaning production) decreases, the diagnosis of the problem in teamwork will decrease.
