Today, in the teaching profession, as in other professions, it is of great importance to behave in accordance with professional ethics. Professional ethics should be given importance in the training of teacher candidates, it is important to gain this responsibility and transform it into behavior. The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of the teacher candidates about the concept of ethics and ethical behavior. In the context of this study, what the concept of ethics means for teacher candidates, what unethical behaviors of teacher candidates towards teaching staff are, what are the unethical behaviors of teacher candidates towards their peers, and what are the suggestions of teacher candidates for improving ethical behaviors has been investigated. The participants of the research consists of 32 teacher candidates studying in the Social Studies and Science departments of Kastamonu University Faculty of Education. The research is a case study conducted with a qualitative research approach. In this study, prospective teachers mostly associated the concept of ethics with doing right behavior, questioning right and wrong and morality. According to the research findings, teacher candidates, unethical behaviors towards academic staff They stated the most as disrespect, distorting the teaching of the lesson, ignoring the lesson, insulting. In another finding of the study, it was determined that the most unethical behaviors students do to each other are insulting, lying and being selfish. Some suggestions have been developed based on the research results.
