Özet:

News such as epidemics, diseases, and disasters have always been the agenda of mass media. The emergence of a virus that will affect people's lives at the end of 2019, and then the declaration of Covid-19 as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) has changed the agenda of the world. The main purpose of this study is to analyze of how and how the pandemic, which was announced by the WHO on March 11, 2020, took place on the front pages of the newspapers selected from the world press. The study, is aimed to examine the news in a way that covers the period before and after the pandemic. The main problem of the study is how the news of Covid-19 and pandemic has reflected in the world press and with what differences between countries. News covering the period before and after the pandemic, Der Tagesspiegel from Germany, New York Post from the United States, The Independent from the United Kingdom, Shanghai Daily from the People's Republic of China, and Le Parisien from France, where the 45-day process was analyzed. The content analysis method was used in the study and 358 news were analyzed in this process.
