Bu çalışmada 2006 ve 2018 Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenliği lisans programlarının farklı yönleriyle incelenmesi, karşılaştırılması ve değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç çerçevesinde 2018 programının getirdiği yenilikler ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada, nitel analiz yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi tekniği kullanılmıştır. Doküman incelemesi, araştırılması hedeflenen olgu ve olaylar hakkında bilgi içeren yazılı materyallerin analizini kapsar. Araştırmada 2006 ve 2018 yıllarında Yükseköğretim Kurulu tarafından hazırlanan “Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği Lisans Programları” temel veri kaynakları olarak kabul edilmiş ve incelenmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında, meslek bilgisi, alan eğitimi ve genel kültür dersleri, ders saatleri, sayıları, kredileri, teori ve uygulamadaki oranları, zorunlu ve seçmeli derslerin dağılımları karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca yeni Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmen Yetiştirme Lisans Programı’nın güçlü ve zayıf yönlerine ilişkin bulgulara dayalı olarak tartışma ve öneriler sunulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda 2006 programı kuramsal bilgiyi ve genel kültürü, 2018 programı ise alan bilgisini ve daha çok öğretmenlik meslek bilgisini önceleyen bir yaklaşımla hazırlandığı yorumuna ulaşılmıştır. Yeni programda uygulama dersleri yarı yarıya azalırken, alan eğitimi ve genel kültür derslerinin yüzdelik oranları düşürülmüş, meslek bilgisi derslerinin yüzdelik oranları ise arttırılmıştır. Ayrıca derslerin gerek sayıları gerek kredileri gerekse ders saatleri azaltılmış, bunların yanı sıra seçmeli ders sayıları arttırılıp, çeşitlendirilmiştir. İsmi değiştirilen zorunlu derslerin içeriklerinde büyük kısmı aynı olmakla birlikte kısmi değişiklikler yapıldığı görülmektedir.
This study aims to study, compare and evaluate the different aspects of the 2006 and 2018 Social Information Teaching bachelor’s programs. In the framework of this goal, the innovations brought by the 2018 program have been attempted to be revealed. In the research, the technique of document examination from the quality analysis methods has been used. The document review includes the analysis of written materials containing information about the facts and events targeted to investigate. The research was recognized and studied as the basic data sources of the "Social Information Teaching Bachelor's Programs" prepared by the Higher Education Council in 2006 and 2018. In the context of the study, professional knowledge, field education and general culture courses, class hours, numbers, credits, theory and practice rates, the distribution of compulsory and selective courses were comparatively analyzed. Discussions and suggestions were also presented on the basis of findings on the strengths and weaknesses of the New Social Information Teacher Education Bachelor Program. The study found that the 2006 program was prepared with theoretical knowledge and general culture, and the 2018 program was prepared with a approach that predicts field knowledge and more teaching professional knowledge. In the new program, the application courses are reduced to half, the percentage of field education and general culture courses are reduced, and the percentage of professional knowledge courses are increased.
