Abstract:

The aim of this study is to develop the positive perception scale. The study was conducted in two different samples of 444 teachers. In the first instance, the data collected from 209 teachers were analyzed with the aim of determining the structural validity of the scale. The factor analysis found that 15 of the matters in the scale were gathered in three sub-dimensions and that the total variance was 67.51%. The factor loads of the substances that make the scale range between the values of 0.45-0.82. To test the structural validity of the scale, the verifying factor analysis was carried out with the data obtained from 235 teachers in the second sample. In the verifying factor analysis it was observed that the compatibility values for the three-factor structure were good. For the reliability of the scale, the Cronbach Alpha ratio was calculated and measured as 0.90 for the entire scale. This value is an indication that the substances are reliable to the desired extent. Analysis has shown that the developed Positive Perception Scale is a sufficient level of valid and reliable measurement tool.
