Selçuklu öncesi İslâm dinini seçen ve Müslüman beldelerine gelen Türklerin daha çok askerî ve siyasî varlığı birçok ilmî araştırmalarda gün yüzüne çıkarılmıştır. Selçuklu öncesi Müslümanların oluşturduğu medeniyette hiç şüphesiz çeşitli milletlerin ve farklı inanç guruplarının katkısı bulunmaktadır. Aslında İslâm tarihi, birçok milletin birlikte oluşturduğu siyasî, kültürel ve sosyal ilişkiler tarihidir. Çok eski bir tarihi ve geçmişi olan Türklerin İslâm dinini seçmeden önce de kayda değer medenî, ilmî çalışmaları bulunmaktaydı. Türklerin Müslüman olmasıyla İslâm beldelerine geldikleri hatta Abbâsî döneminin bir yüzyılına, 850-950 yılları arası, damga vurdukları tarihî bir realitedir. Acaba bu denli köklü bir geçmişi olan Türklerin İslâm beldelerine geldikten sonra ilim ve kültür hayatına ne gibi katkıları olmuştur? İslâm medeniyetinde Türklerin bir etkisi söz konusu mudur? Bunun gibi daha birçok soruların açıklığa kavuşturulması bu sahada çalışan ilim adamlarına düşen önemli bir vazifedir ve bu makalenin konusu da bu soruları cevaplamayı amaçlamaktadır. Müslüman Araplar Türklerin yaşadığı coğrafyaya ta VII. Yüzyılda ulaşmışlardı. Bu tarihlerden itibaren özellikle Horasan ve Mâveruünnehir’de İslâmla tanışan Türkler, gerek bu yerlerde gerekse İslâm beldelerine intikal ederek, bu medeniyetin dilini öğrenerek hem dinî hem de pozitif ilimlerde inkişaf etmişlerdir. Çok farklı ilmî sahalarda adından yıllarca bahsedilecek meşhur Türk âlimleri ortaya çıkmıştır. Türkler var olan bilgi, tecrübe ve aletlerini İslâm dünyasına tanıtmışlar, dolayısıyla Orta çağda Müslümanların kurdukları medeniyetin oluşumu, gelişimi ve yayılmasında önemli oranda rol oynamışlardır.
The military and political presence of the Turks who chose the Islamic religion before Selçuklu and came to the Muslim districts has been brought to the face in many scientific research. In the civilization formed by the Muslims before the Selchuklu, there is no doubt the contribution of various nations and different religious groups. Indeed, Islam is the history of political, cultural and social relations that many nations have formed together. Turks with a very ancient history and history, before choosing the Islamic religion, also had remarkable civic, scientific work. It is a historical reality that the Turks come to their Islamic villages with their Muslims, even in a century of the Abbasian period, between 850-950 years. What was the contribution of the Turkish people to the life of science and culture after they came to Islam? Is there an influence of Turks in Islamic civilization? The answer to many questions like this is an important duty to the scientists who work in this field and the subject of this article is also aimed at answering these questions. Muslim Arabs in the geography of the Turks. They arrived in the century. Especially military and political presence of Turks choosing Islam as religion and coming to Muslim lands prior to Seljukian has been revealed with numerous scientific studies. There are, with no doubt, contributions of various nations and communities with different beliefs to the civilization that Muslims constituted. In fact, Islamic History is the history of political, cultural and social relations which several nations formed together. Turks, who have an old history, had remarkable civilization, scientific works before they chose Islamic religion. It is a historical reality that Turks came to Islamic lands after they became Muslims, and marked an Abbasid period of the century between 850 and 950. So, what kinds of contributions did the Turks, with so deep past, had in the scientific and cultural life after they had arrived in the Islamic lands? Is there an influence of Turks in Islamic civilization? Revealing so many questions like these is an important duty of scientists in this field; and the aim of this study is to answer these questions. Muslim Arabs arrived in the geography where Turks lived in VII century. From this century on, Turks who met Islam especially in Khorasan and Mâveruünnehir developed both divine and positive sciences in these lands and other Islamic lands they reached by learning the language of this civilization. Famous Turkish scholars, the name of whose will be mentioned for years, appeared in various fields of science. Turks introduced their knowledge, experience and tools to Islamic world; therefore, they played a very important role in formation, development and spreading of civilization that Muslims established in Medieval Century.
