Özel yetenekli bireylerin eğitimleri tüm dünyada olduğu gibi ülkemizde de gün geçtikçe daha fazla araştırmalara konu olmakta; eğitimcilerin, araştırmacıların, yöneticilerin ve velilerin gündeminde daha fazla yer tutmaktadır. Ancak özel yetenekli bireylere sağlanan eğitimin etkili ve verimli olabilmesi için özel yetenekli bireylerin tanılanma süreçlerinin bilimsel bir biçimde ele alınması ve yürütülmesi önemlidir. Çünkü eğitimde istenen; öğrencilerin hem bireysel kapasitelerini en iyi şekilde ortaya koyup değerlendirmeleri hem de kendilerini iyi tanıyarak kendisi ve çevresiyle uyum içinde olmayı başarmış bireyler yetişmesidir. Bu yüzden özel yetenekli bireylerin de hem yetenek ve kapasitelerinin doğru tespit edilerek gerekli eğitim desteğinden yararlanmaları hem de kendilerini tanıyarak kendileri ve çevreleri ile uyumlu olmalarının sağlanması açısından tanılama süreci önemlidir. Aksi takdirde yapılan eğitsel müdahalelerden istenen etki ve verim elde edilemeyecektir. Bu çalışma ile Türkiye’de özel yetenekli bireyleri tanılamada kullanılan süreç anlatılmıştır. Çalışmada derleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Özel yetenekli bireylerin tanılanma süreci ile ilgili hazırlanan araştırma ve yayınlar incelenerek ve güncel bilgiler dikkate alınarak bu makale hazırlanmıştır.

Abstract:

Education of gifted individuals is seen to be the topic of more research day by day in our country as well as all over the world; it occupies more of the agenda of educators, researchers, administrators and parents. However, in order for the education provided to gifted individuals to be effective and efficient, it is important to consider and conduct the identification processes of those individuals in a scientific manner. Because what is desired in education is to raise individuals who have succeeded in being in harmony with themselves and their surroundings by knowing themselves well and making the best of their individual capacities. Therefore, the identification of gifted individuals is of vital importance so that their skills and capacities are correctly identified and they benefit from the required educational support, and they are in good rapport with themselves and their environment by recognizing themselves. Otherwise, the desired effect and efficiency will not be obtained from the educational processes. This work studies the processes employed to identify gifted individuals in Turkey. Related research has been compiled and cited in this work. The article has been written by examining the studies and publications made on the identification processes of gifted individuals and by utilizing the current academic knowledge of the discipline.
