ABSTRACT Boredom is an unsettling emotional state that results from repetitive activities or conflict between stimuli. Quality of work life is a management philosophy that evaluates the work and private life of the individual as a whole. It is thought that a tendency to boredom can be seen in health services and boredom may cause negative consequences at the level of work life quality. From this point of view in this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between the boredom tendencies of hospital employees and the quality of work life. The relationship between the variables was revealed by Pearson correlation analysis. The population of the study, in which the survey technique from the quantitative research method was used as a data collection tool, consists of the employees of Süleyman Demirel University Hospital and Isparta City Hospital located in the city center of Isparta. A total of 610 hospital employees were reached with the convenience sampling method. “Quality of Work Life Scale” and “Short Boredom Tendency Scale” were used in the research. In addition to demographic information, questions about job satisfaction, purpose of life and meaning of life were also included. As a result of research It has been determined that the tendency to boredom in hospital employees arises as a result of repetitive monotonous activities. As a result of the correlation analysis A negative significant relationship was found between the dimensions of "job and career satisfaction", "general well-being", "controlling the job", "stress at work", "working conditions", "family work-life balance". At the same time, there was a moderately negative significant relationship between "boredom tendency" and "quality of work life". In addition, it was concluded that hospital employees who do not have a specific purpose in life and do not find life meaningful are more tendency to boredom and are less satisfied with their work.
