Çocuk hakları tüm dünyadaki çocukların doğuştan sahip olduğu kanunlar ve ahlaki değerlerle desteklenen yaşama, barınma, eğitim, sağlık, fiziksel ve duygusal istismara karşı korunma gibi hakların hepsini kapsayıcı nitelikte evrensel bir kavramdır. Çocuklarla çalışan her öğretmenin çocuk haklarının neler olduğunu bilmesi; uygulamalarında çocukların haklarını gözetmesi ve her çocuğu sahip olduğu haklar konusunda bilinçlendirmesi açısından önem taşımaktadır. Bu sebeple gerçekleştirilen nitel çalışmanın amacı; okul öncesi, ilkokul ve ortaokul bünyesinde görev yapan öğretmenlerin çocuk hakları konusundaki görüşlerini ortaya koymaktır. Çalışma grubunu okul öncesi öğretmenliği, sınıf öğretmenliği, Türkçe, matematik, fen bilgisi, İngilizce, din kültürü gibi çeşitli branşlara sahip ve çocuklarla aktif olarak çalışan 64 öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Araştırmaya ait veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları aracılığıyla elde edilmiş olup içerik analizi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; öğretmenlerin birçoğunun çocukların barınma, sağlık, beslenme, eğitim, oyun gibi temel haklarına vurgu yaptıkları belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenler çocukların en fazla istismara uğrayan haklarının ise oyun ve eğlence haklarının olduğu görüşünü ortaya koymuşlardır. Çok az öğretmenin çocukların düşüncelerini rahatlıkla ifade edebilme ve katılım haklarının bulunduğundan bahsetmesi ise öğretmenlerin bu haklara ilişkin bakış açılarının yetersiz olduğu düşüncesini akla getirmiştir.
Children’s rights are a universal concept that encompasses all rights, such as life, housing, education, health, physical and emotional abuse, supported by the laws and moral values of children all over the world. It is important for every teacher working with children to know what the rights of the child are; to observe the rights of the children in their practices and to awareness the rights that each child has. The purpose of the quality study is to show the views of teachers who work in the pre-school, primary and secondary school on the rights of children. The work group was formed by 64 teachers with various branches such as pre-school teaching, class teaching, Turkish, mathematics, science knowledge, English, religious culture and actively working with children. The research data was obtained through semi-configured interview forms and analyzed through content analysis. The study found that many teachers emphasized the fundamental rights of children, such as housing, health, nutrition, education, and play. The teachers have shown that the rights of children which are most abused are the rights of play and entertainment. The fact that very few teachers say that children can express their thoughts easily and that they have the right to participate, makes it reasonable that teachers have insufficient views on these rights.

The data for the study were obtained through semi-structured interview forms and analyzed by content analysis. As a result of the research; it has been determined that many of the teachers emphasize the basic rights of children such as shelter, health, nutrition, education and play. Teachers have expressed the view that the most abused rights of children are the rights of play and entertainment. The fact that there are only a few teachers say that children have the right to express their thoughts and they have the right to participate has been conceivable that the teachers’ opinions about these rights are inadequate.
