Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de genel bütçe dengesi ile enflasyon arasındaki uzun ve kısa dönemli ilişki 2011:11-2023:05 dönemini kapsayan aylık veriler ile analiz edilmektedir. Çalışmada, genel bütçe dengesi ile enflasyon arasındaki uzun ve kısa dönemli ilişki dolar döviz kuru ve M3 para arzı değişkenleri de dahil ederek Türkiye örneğinden hareketle ARDL analizi ile gerçekleştirilmektedir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre Türkiye’de uzun dönemde bütçe açığı ile enflasyon arasında istatistiki olarak pozitif yönlü bir etki görülmektektedir. Kısa dönemde ise bütçe açığı ve enflasyon arasında negatif yönlü bir etki ortaya çıkmaktadır.
In this study, the long-run and short-run relationship between general budget balance and inflation in Turkey is analyzed with monthly data covering the period 2011:11-2023:05. In the study, the long-run and short-run relationship between the general budget balance and inflation is analyzed by ARDL analysis based on the case of Turkey by including the dollar exchange rate and M3 money supply variables. According to the findings of the study, there is a statistically positive effect between budget deficit and inflation in the long run in Turkey. In the short run, there is a negative effect between budget deficit and inflation.
