Osmanlı tarihi araştırmalarında arşiv vesikalarının ve bunların içinde de Şer’iyye sicillerinin önemli bir yeri vardır. Siciller içerdiği bilgiler açısından tarihçilere o yerin ekonomik, sosyal, hukuki, idari konuları hakkında yol göstermektedir. Bu çalışmada hicri 1050-51 (1640-41) yılına ait 1587 numaralı Rodoscuk-Tekirdağ sicilinin içerisindeki belge örneklerinden yola çıkılarak mahkemenin çalışma zamanları, mahkeme görevlileri, belge türleri incelenmiş ve bu sayede sayısal veriler sunulmuştur. Böylece sicilin tanıtımı yapılmış olup elde edilen bilgiler ışığında çeşitli değerlendirmelerde bulunulmuştur. Sicilde adı geçen 35 mahallenin 27’sinin Müslüman, 8’inin gayrimüslim mahalleler olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca 38 tane de köy isminden söz edilmektedir. Gayrimüslimler ve Müslümanlar farklı köy ve mahallelerde ikamet etmelerine rağmen davalardan anlaşıldığı üzere birbirlerinin köylerinden mülk satın almışlardır. Çalışmaya konu olan sicilde ele alınan; mali konular, kamu davaları ve ailevi meselelerin görüldüğü davalar incelenerek ele alınan dönemdeki devlet-toplum ilişkileri üzerine analizler yapılmıştır. Ele alınan kurumlar toplumun sosyal hayatını oluşturması ve ilişkilerini belirlemesi açısından önem arz etmektedir.
In the Ottoman historical research, the archives and in them, the records of the Sheriff have an important place. In terms of information it contains, it guides historians about the economic, social, legal, administrative issues of that place. In this study, based on the examples of documents in the Rodoscuk-Tekirdağ Register No. 1587 of the year 1050-51 (1640-41), the work times of the court, the court officials, the types of documents were examined and therefore numerical data were presented. Therefore, the record has been promoted and the information obtained in light of various assessments has been made. According to the report, 27 of the 35 neighborhoods are Muslim and 8 are non-Muslim neighborhoods. There are also 38 people named by the village. Non-Muslims and Muslims, despite their residence in different villages and neighborhoods, have purchased property from each other’s villages, as it is clear from the cases. The study was carried out in the record; financial issues, public affairs and cases of family affairs were examined and analysed on the state-social relations in the period discussed. The institutions undertaken emphasize the social life of society and determining their relationships.
Archival Documents and particularly Court Registers (Şer’iyye Sicilleri) takes important place in the Ottoman History researches. These registers provides valuable data to historians about economic, social, legal and administrative issues of a specified region. In this research Rodoscuk-Tekirdağ court registers which is numbered 1587 and dated to 1640-41 was studied. In this framework working hours and officers of the courts and sorts of documents were analyzed and some statistics were presented based on these archival documents samples. All data extracted from these analyses let us to make new and original evolutions. According to the registers, settlements exist in region compoesed by 27 Muslim and 8 non-Muslim families. Also 38 village name was mentioned. Although Muslims and non-Muslims have been settled in different villages as far as understood from cases both group look owned lands from the other one village. Issues on economy, state cases and family cases mostly seen in the studied registers. Dependently these titles evolutions made in the study based on state and community relations. Also all these outputs are important from the point of view of defining social relations of the era.
