Bu çalışmanın amacı okul yöneticilerinin görüşlerine göre bir okul yöneticisinin sahip olması gereken yönetimsel becerileri tespit etmektir. Araştırmanın evrenini Adıyaman ili Merkez il ve köylerinde yer alan resmi ve özel eğitim kurumlarındaki yönetici pozisyonunda görev yapan yöneticiler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi ise bu genel evren içerisinden uygun ve elverişlilik örnekleme yöntemine göre belirlenen 27 yöneticiden oluşmaktadır. Yapılan bu araştırmada okul yöneticilerinin görüşlerine göre bir okul yöneticisinin sahip olması gereken en önemli yönetimsel beceriler liderlik, iletişim becerisi ve demokratik tutum ve davranıştır. Okul yöneticilerinden mesleki deneyim, mevzuat bilgisi, pedagoji ve oryantasyon alanlarında rehberlik hizmeti verilmesi beklenmektedir. Okul kalite standartlarını artırmak için özellikle okul yöneticilerinin katılımcı ve iş birliği çerçevesinde hareket etmesi istenmektedir. Okul yöneticisinin sahip olması gereken en önemli kişisel nitelikler adaletli olmak, liderlik, dürüstlük ve iletişim becerileri olarak ifade edilmiştir. Okul yöneticilerine göre sosyal aktiviteler ve gerektiğinde öğretmeni takdir etmek öğretmenlerin motivasyonlarını artırmak için çok önemli değişkenlerdir.
The aim of this study is to identify the management skills a school manager should have according to the opinions of school managers. The universe of research is named by the managers who work in the administrative positions in the official and private educational institutions located in the Central province and villages. The sample of the study consists of 27 managers identified according to the appropriate and affordable sample method within this general universe. According to the opinions of school managers, the most important managerial skills a school managers should have are leadership, communication skills and democratic attitude and behavior. School managers are expected to provide guidance services in the fields of professional experience, legislative knowledge, education and orientation. To improve the quality standards of the school, it is called for school managers to act in the framework of participation and cooperation. The most important personal qualities a school manager should have are expressed as being fair, leadership, honesty and communication skills. According to school managers, social activities and appreciating the teacher when necessary are very important variables to increase the motivation of the teachers.
The main purpose of this study is to examine the management skills of education institution managers according to education institution managers’ opinion. The population fo this study consist of education institution managers, especially school principals, that located in the vicinity of Adıyaman. Face-to-face interview technique is being used in order to collect data. Our sample, on the other hand, consists of 27 managers determined according to the convenience and convenience sampling method from this general universe. In this research, according to the opinions of school administrators, the most important administrative skills that a school administrator should have are leadership, communication skills and democratic attitude and behavior. School administrators are expected to provide guidance in the fields of professional experience, legislative knowledge, pedagogy and orientation. In order to increase school quality standards, especially school administrators are requested to act within the framework of participatory and cooperation. The most important personal qualities that the school administrator should have are expressed as being fair, leadership, honesty and communication skills. According to school administrators, social activities and appreciating the teacher when necessary are very important variables to increase teachers' motivation.
