Bu çalışma, görme engelli bireylerin Covid-19 pandemisi sürecinde yaşamış olduğu stres düzeyleri ile yaşam doyumları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amacıyla planlandı. Tanımlayıcı türdeki bu araştırmanın evrenini Kasım- Aralık 2020 tarihleri arasında Çorum Altınokta Körler Derneği’ne kayıtlı görme engel olan bireyler oluşturmaktadır. Örneklem seçimine gidilmeden evreninin tamamına ulaşılması hedeflenmiştir. Çalışma 62 görme engelli bireyin katılımıyla tamamlanmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında Kişisel Özellikler Bilgi Formu, Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği ve Algılanan Stres Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların %79’u erkek, %74,2’ si evli ve %40’ı ortaokul-lise eğitim seviyesine sahiptir. Görme engelli bireylerin Algılanan Stres Ölçeğinden aldıkları puan ortalaması 26,42±8,20 ve Yaşam Doyum Ölçeğinden aldıkları puan ortalaması ise 13,29±3,66 olarak bulunmuştur. Cinsiyet, eğitim durumu, ekonomik durum algısı, genel sağlık algısı, Covid-19 geçirme durumu ve anksiyete- kaygı yaşama durumu ile Algılanan Stres Ölçeği puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık vardır (p<0,05). Ekonomik durum algısı ve Covid-19 geçirme durumu ile Yaşam Doyum Ölçeği puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık vardır (p<0,05). Görme engelli bireylerin stres algılarının ve yaşam doyumlarının orta düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Covid-19 pandemisinin görme engellilerin stres düzeyleri ve yaşam doyumları üzerine etkilerinin daha net bir şekilde ortaya konulabilmesi için daha geniş örneklem grupları ile benzer çalışmalar yapılabilir.
This study was planned to study the relationship between the stress levels and life satisfactions that people with visual disabilities experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic process. The universe of this research in the identificative type is formed by individuals who are blocked by sight registered in the Society of the Blind in the Sombria from November to December 2020. It is intended to reach the entire universe without choosing the example. The study was completed with the participation of 62 visual disabled individuals. In the collection of data, personal characteristics have been used Information Form, Lifetime Scale and Detected Stress Scale. 79 percent of participants are men, 74.2 percent are married and 40 percent have high school education. The average score they received from the Detected Stress Scale was 26.42±8.20 and the average score they received from the Life Doyum Scale was 13.29±3.66. There is a statistically significant difference between gender, educational status, economic status perception, general health perception, Covid-19 status and anxiety- anxiety life status and the detected stress scale score average (p<0,05). There is a statistically significant difference between the economic perception and the Covid-19 passing state and the Life Doyum scale score average (p<0,05). It has been determined that the perceptions of stress and life satisfaction of persons with visual disabilities are at a medium level. Similar studies can be conducted with wider sampling groups so that the effects of Covid-19 pandemic on the stress levels and life satisfactions of vision disabled people can be more clearly identified.
This study was designed to examine the relationship between visually impaired individuals' stress levels and life satisfaction during the Covid-19 pandemic. The universe of this descriptive research consists of visually impaired individuals registered with the Corum Altinokta Blind Association between November-December 2020. It is aimed to reach the entire universe without going through sample selection. The study was completed with the participation of 62 visually impaired individuals. Personal Characteristics Information Form, Life Satisfaction Scale and Perceived Stress Scale were used in data collection. Seventy-nine per cent of the participants are male, 74.2% are married, and 40% have secondary-high school education. Visually impaired individuals had an average score of 26.42 ± 8.20 on the Perceived Stress Scale and 13.29 ± 3.66 on the Life Satisfaction Scale. A statistically significant difference exists between gender, educational status, economic situation perception, general health perception, state of being infected with the covid-19 virus and anxiety-concern living State and Perceived Stress Scale score averages (p<0.05). There is a statistically significant difference between the perception of the economic situation and having Covid-19 and the mean scores of the Life Satisfaction Scale (p <0.05). It has been determined that visually impaired individuals' perceived stress levels and life satisfactions are moderate. Similar studies with larger sample groups can be conducted to clarify the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on visually impaired individuals' stress levels and life satisfaction more clearly.
