The importance of images in contemporary society is essential in order to understand communication and cultural practices. The purpose of this paper aims to analyse what is the role of visual culture in the internal communication, happiness and well-being strategies of organisations. A panel of 12 experts and a study of the main internal communication tools of 10 public and private organisations were used for this research. Findings indicate that visual culture has great value in the communication flows to internal audiences, being strongly integrated in the majority of the tools employed for the staff. Graphic elements, brand applications, photographs and audiovisual media, and specific colour palettes contribute to extend the brand's universe and culture among all its employees. Visual resources take on particular relevance in workspaces, where open concepts are used that play with imagery to enhance the design. This research highlights the relevance of visual elements as part of corporate culture and internal communication, and how they contribute to organisational well-being and happiness.
