Haberler aracılığıyla yurttaşların ve siyasi aktörlerin konular üzerindeki düşüncelerini şekillendiren gazeteler bir ülkenin gündemini oluşturan en önemli unsurların başında gelmektedir. Bu nedenle gazetelerin haber değeri bulunan bir gelişmeye nasıl yer verdiği ve olayları ne sıklıkla haberleştirdiği büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Siyasi ve ekonomik nedenler başta olmak üzere, çeşitli sebeplerden dolayı her konuya aynı oranda yer vermeyen gazetelerin tutumu, gündemin istenilen biçimde kurgulanmasını da beraberinde getirmektedir. Böylesi bir sistem içinde birtakım bilgileri çeşitli filtrelerden geçirerek sunan gazeteler, kamu yararını ve hak odaklı gazetecilik anlayışını arka plana atmaktadır. Bu noktada, birtakım grupların haberlerde yer bulmasının zorlaştığını ve işleniş biçimlerinin ‘öteki’ üzerinden ele alındığını söylemek mümkündür. Bu perspektiften hareketle çalışmada, Soma ve Ermenek madencilerinin haklarını savunmak için yaptıkları eylemlerin internet gazetelerindeki sunumu ele alınmıştır. Araştırmanın amacı, gazetelerin madencilerin yaptığı eylemlere yer verip vermediğini ortaya koymak olarak belirlenmiştir. Ele alınan gazetelerin maden emekçilerinin eylemleri hakkındaki haberlerde nasıl bir sunuma başvurduğunu ve haberlerin içeriklerinde sahiplik yapılarının ve ideolojilerin ne kadar etkili olduğunu saptamak araştırmanın problemini oluşturmaktadır. Evrensel, Sözcü, Habertürk, Sabah gazetelerinin örneklem olarak seçildiği çalışma, 12.10.2020-31.01.2021 tarihleri arasındaki haberlerle sınırlandırılmıştır. Gazetelerin maden işçilerinin eylemlerindeki sunumuna ışık tutması nedeniyle önemli olan araştırmada içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada, Sözcü ve Evrensel gazetelerinin işçilerin haklarını savundukları ve güvenlik güçlerinin müdahalelerine odaklandıkları sonucuna varılmıştır. Habertürk gazetesinde maden işçilerinin eylemlerinin arka plana atıldığı ve az sayıda içeriğe yer verildiği tespit edilirken, Sabah gazetesinde haber yapılmadığı saptanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulardan hareketle, çeşitli sektörlerde yatırımları olan holdingler tarafından yayınlanan gazetelerin madencilerin haklarını aramaktan uzak bir habercilik örneği ortaya koydukları görülmüştür. Farklı sektörlerde sahipliği bulunmayan gazetelerin ise maden işçilerinin haklarından yana bir yayıncılık sergiledikleri tespit edilmiştir. Buna ilaveten, ele alınan bütün gazetelerin kendi ideolojik ve politik duruşları üzerinden haberleri kurguladıkları saptanmıştır.
It is of great importance how newspapers participate in an event that is newsworthy and how often they report events. The attitude of newspapers, which do not include each issue in the same proportion for various reasons, especially for political and economic reasons, leads to the creation of the agenda in the desired form. In such a system, newspapers that offer some content through filters throw public interest and rights oriented journalism into the background. At this point, it can be said that some groups find it difficult to find a place in the news and the way they are processed is handled through the ‘other’. The study covered the presentation of actions taken by Soma and Ermenek miners to defend their rights in internet newspapers. The aim of the study was to determine whether the newspapers contained the actions taken by the miners. Determining how newspapers refer to a presentation in news about the actions of miners and how effective the ownership structure and ideology is in the news is the problem of the study. The research, in which Evrensel, Sözcü, Habertürk and Sabah newspapers were selected as a sample, was limited to news between 12.10.2020 and 31.01.2021. The method of content analysis was used in the research, which is important because newspapers reflect the presentation of miners in their actions. The study concluded that the Sözcü and Evrensel newspapers defended the rights of workers and focused on the interventions of the security forces. In Habertürk, it was found that the actions of the miners were put on the background and a small number of content was included, while in Sabah, it was found that no news was made. Based on the findings, newspapers published by conglomerates with investments in various sectors did not represent and seek the rights of miners. On the other hand, it has been found that newspapers that do not have ownership in different sectors display journalism in favor of the rights of miners. In addition, it was found that all newspapers fictionalized their news based on their ideological and political positions.
