The purpose of this study is to determine whether anaerobic force and maximum force are an important factor for the speed values during the weight squat jumping movement. In accordance with this objective; 36 athlete students who studied at the University of Silverhane Physical Education and Sports High School and who have an active athlete license in different sports branches (age: 21.4 ± 1.57 years; height: 175.2 ± 5.91 cm; weight: 68.7 ± 7.12 kg) participated voluntarily in the study. In the study, a heavy squat jump (SSY) movement was performed using an external load that corresponds to 40% of their body weights to determine the speed parameters of the participants. Furthermore, a repeated maximum (1TM) strength test and anaerobic power test were performed in the full squat (SQTam) movement to determine the participants’ maximum dynamic strength feature. For the analysis of the data, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, identifying statistics and Pearson correlation analyses were used. According to the results of the analysis, a statistically meaningful relationship between the participants’ relative average anaerobic power and the absolute and relative 1TM force value in the SQTam movement and the top speed values obtained in the concentric stage of the SSYuk movement was found in a positive direction. Furthermore, the absolute 1TM squat power was achieved to have a statistically meaningful relationship in the positive direction between both absolute maximum anaerobic power and absolute average anaerobic power values. In addition, no statistically meaningful relationship was achieved. As a result, as there is a meaningful relationship between the strength and the peak speed values both in absolute and relative terms, it can be suggested that when the strength feature increases, the peak speed values during the concentrate stage will increase and the maximum strength training should be carried out to ensure the improvement in the movement speed.
The aim of this study is to determine whether the anaerobic power and maximal strength are an important factor for velocity values during loaded-squat jump movement. For this purpose, 36 male students (age: 21,4 ± 1,57 years; height: 175,2 ± 5,91 cm; weight: 68,7 ± 7,12 kg) who are studying at school of physical education and sport at the Gumushane University and have active athlete license in different sport branches participated in the study voluntarily. In the study, loaded-squat jump (SJLoaded) movement was practiced by using an external load equaled to 40% of their body weights in order to determine velocity parameters of the participants. Also, in order to determine the maximal dynamic strength of the participants, one repetition maximal strength (1RM) in the full back squat (SQFull) movement and anaerobic power tests were done. For the analysis of data, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, descriptive statistics and Pearson Correlation analysis were used. According to the analysis results, there is a positive and statistically significant relationship between the absolute and relative 1RM strength values in the SQFull movement and mean relative anaerobic power values together with peak velocity values obtained in the concentric phase of SJLoaded movement of participants. Also, it was found that there is a positive and statistically significant relationship between 1RM squat strength and both absolute maximal anaerobic power and absolute mean anaerobic power values. There was no statistically significant relationship was found except for this. As a result, since there is a significant relationship between strength and velocity values in terms of absolute and relative, it can be asserted that as the strength increases, there will be an increase in peak velocity values during concentric phase and maximal strength training should be performed to provide an improvement in the movement velocity.
