Bu çalışmada, Özel sektörde uygulanan rekreasyonel faaliyetlerin sürdürülebilir etkinlik yönetimindeki rolünün incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu İzmir ilindeki 4 farklı telekomünikasyon şirketindeki 23 karar verici pozisyonda bulunan üst düzey yöneticiler oluşturmaktadır. Yöneticilere ve araştırmacıya uygun yerde birebir görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Yöneticilerin sürdürülebilir etkinlik yönetimi ile ilgili algı ve deneyimleri nitel araştırma yöntemiyle ele alınarak planlanmış davranış teorisi çerçevesinde incelenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler, bilgisayar ortamında düz yazı haline getirilmiştir. Daha sonra veriler, “Nvivo 11 Pro for Windows” programı aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizi sonucunda yöneticilerin iş yerinde rekreasyonel etkinliklerin uygulanması, iş yerinde rekreasyonel etkinliklere katılım sonucu elde edilen kazanımlar ve rekreasyonel etkinliklerin sürdürülebilir etkinlik yönetimi anlayışına ilişkin görüşleri ana temalar altında sunulmuştur. Yöneticilerin iş yerinde rekreasyonel etkinliklerinin uygulanmasına ilişkin görüşlerine bağlı olarak etkinlikler teması altında “eğitsel aktiviteler, geziler”, “piknik etkinlikleri”, “sportif faaliyetler”, “sanatsal etkinlikler”, “yeme içme faaliyetleri”, “rekreatif oyunlar”, “eğlence organizasyonları” ve “doğa etkinlikleri” kodlar sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. İş yeri rekreasyon etkinlikleri kazanımlarına ilişkin dört (4) alt tema ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu temalar “fizyolojik kazanımlar”, “psikolojik kazanımlar”, “sosyolojik kazanımlar” ve “ kurumsal kazanımlar” dır. Sürdürülebilir etkinlik yönetiminin önemine ilişkin “örgüt kültürü”, “ örgütsel bağlılık” ve “sürdürülebilir etkinlik yönetimi” temaları sunulmuştur. Buna bağlı olarak “ verimlilik”, “ekip çalışması”, “örgütsel değerler”, “misyon- vizyon belirleme”, “başarı artışı”, “aidiyet duygusu” kodlarına ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda yönetici görüşlerine ilişkin özel sektörde rekreasyonel faaliyetlerin çalışanların örgütsel bağlılığına, verimliliğine, başarısının yanı sıra psikolojik, fizyolojik, sosyal durumlarına katkı sağladığı sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca yöneticilerin iş yeri rekreasyonel faaliyetleri sürdürülebilirliğine ilişkin beklentileri olduğu sonucu tespit edilmiştir.
This study aims to study the role of recreational activities in the private sector in sustainable activity management. The research work group consists of senior managers in 23 decision-making positions in 4 different telecommunications companies in the province of İzmir. Managers and researchers have been discussed in a suitable place. The perceptions and experiences of managers regarding sustainable activity management have been studied in the framework of the planned behavioral theory, addressing the quality research method. The data obtained is made straight in the computer environment. The data was then analyzed through the "Nvivo 11 Pro for Windows" program. As a result of the analysis of the data, managers’ opinions on the implementation of recreational activities at work, the achievements resulting from participation in recreational activities at work and the understanding of sustainable activity management of recreational activities have been presented under the main topics. Depending on the views of managers on the implementation of their recreational activities at the workplace; the theme of the events appeared as a result of the codes "educational activities, trips", "picknick events", "sport activities", "artistic events", "feeding activities", "recreative games", "recreative organizations" and "natural events". Four (4) sub-themes related to the workplace recreation activities have emerged. These topics are: "physiological achievements", "psychological achievements", "social achievements" and "corporate achievements". About the importance of sustainable activity management; the topics "organizational culture", "organizational commitment" and "sustainable activity management" have been presented. Accordingly; the codes of “efficiency”, “team work”, “organic values”, “mission-vision determination”, “success increase”, “assistence feeling” have been achieved. The research has found that recreational activities in the private sector relating to managerial views have contributed to the organizational commitment, efficiency, success of employees, as well as to their psychological, physiological, and social conditions. It is also the result that managers have their expectations regarding the sustainability of the workplace recreational activities.
The purpose of this study is to examine the sustainability conception of recreational activities applied in private sector. The participants of this study which is composed of 23 managers from 4 different telecommunication companies in İzmir. Time schedule and the venue of the interviews were planned according to the participants and the interviever. The sustainable facility management perception of the managers were handled with qualitative research method and examined within the planned behavioral theory. The study is derived from the phenomenon that after a long term desk work in private sector, sustainable facility management is necessary in terms physical, psychological and sociological needs for recreational activities of employers. Obtained data were changed into prose in computer environment. Then, data were analysed through “Nvivo 11 Pro for Windows” software. As a result analysis of the data, managers thoughts on “ application of recreational activities at work” , “the out come attained by participation in recrational activities” and “conception for sustainable facility management” were presented as main themes.Up to the views of the managers for applying recreational activities at work; among the activities “educational activities, trips” “picnic”, “sportive activities”, “art and cultural activities”, “meals”, “recreative games”, “entertainments” and “organizations in nature” have been reached as codes. Benefits of participation to recreational activities at work four (4) sub-themes have been reached. These themes are; “physiological benefits”, “psychological benefits”, “sociological benefits” and“ institutional benefits” . As for the importance of the sustainable facility management; “institutional culture”, “ belonging to the institution” and “sustainable facility management” themes are presented. And thus; “ productivity”, “ team work”, “institutional values”, “defining mission and vision”, increase in success”, and “sense of belonging ” codes reached. At the end of the research based on the managers’ views, the result is that in private sector recreational activities contribute positively on the sense of belonging, productivity and in addition; physiological, psychological and sociological situations of the employers. Besides managers have expectations for sustainability of the recreational activities at work.
