Ortaokullarda Görev Yapan Öğretmenlerin Kullandıkları Disiplin Türlerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu araştırmada, Ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenlerinin kullandıkları disiplin çeşitlerini belirlemek ve öğretmenlerin kullandıkları disiplin türleri hakkında bilgi vermektir. Araştırmanın evrenini, Samsun ili, İlkadım ilçe merkezdeki ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır. Örneklemi ise Samsun ili, İlkadım ilçesindeki ortaokullarda görev yapan öğretmenden rastgele seçilmiş 138 öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmenlerin disiplin türleri ölçeğine verdikleri puanlar SPSS programıyla bilgisayar ortamında analiz edilmiştir. Veriler; cinsiyet, öğretmeninin mezun oldukları okul türü değişkenlerine göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemek amacıyla bağımsız grup t-testi uygulanmıştır. Yaş değişkeni, kıdem değişkeni ve öğretmenlerinin mezun oldukları okul türü değişkeni göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını belirlemek amacıyla tek yönlü varyans (ANOVA) tekniği ile diğer testler (Scheffe testi, Kruskal Wallis testi, Mann Whitney U testi) uygulanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin kullandıkları disiplin türleri ile cinsiyet, yaş, mezun oldukları okul türü ve kıdeme göre anlamlı farklılıklar bulunmuştur. Öğretmenlerin ta kullanacakları disiplin türünü belirlerken öğrencilerin yapısını incelemeleri, öğretmenlerin ta disiplin sorunu çıkmadan önlemeleri, disiplin konusunda daha fazla hizmet içi eğitim verilmesi ve üniversitelerin sınıf disiplini konusunda öğretmen adaylarına daha fazla beceri kazandırmaları önerilmiştir.

In this study, it is intended to identify the types of disciplines that teachers in high schools use and to provide information about the types of disciplines that teachers use. The universe of research is formed by teachers who work in the high school in Samsun, Primadim district center. The example is that 138 teachers were randomly selected from the teachers who worked in the Primary School in Samsun, Primary District. The scores that teachers give to the scale of discipline types are analyzed in a computer environment with the SPSS program. The data; gender, the teacher's gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, the gender, and the gender. For the purpose of determining whether the age variable, the age variable and the teachers differ according to the school type variable they graduate (ANOVA) technique and other tests (Scheffe test, Kruskal Wallis test, Mann Whitney U test) were applied. There have been significant differences according to the kind of discipline that teachers use and gender, age, type of school they graduate and age. In determining the type of discipline that teachers will use, it is recommended that students study their structure, teachers take measures to avoid discipline problems, provide more service-in-service training on discipline and provide more skills to teachers candidates on class discipline.

In this research, it is aimed to determine the types of discipline used by teachers working in secondary schools and to give information about the types of discipline that teachers use. The universe of the research consists of teachers working in secondary schools in Samsun province, Ilkadım district center. The sample consists of 138 teachers randomly selected from the teachers working in secondary schools in the county of Ilkadim, Samsun. The scores given by the teachers to the discipline types scale were analyzed in the computer environment with the SPSS program. Data; An independent group t-test was applied to determine whether the class teacher differed according to the variables of the type of school they graduated from. One-way variance (ANOVA) technique and other tests (Scheffe test, Kruskal Wallis test, Mann Whitney U test) were applied in order to determine whether the variables of age, seniority, and the type of school they graduated from. Significant differences were found according to the types of discipline used by the teachers, gender, age, type of school they graduated from and seniority. It has been suggested that teachers should examine the structure of students while determining the type of discipline they will use in the classroom, teachers should prevent disciplinary problems in the classroom, more in-service training on discipline and universities should provide pre-service teachers with more skills on classroom discipline.
