With the development of new communication Technologies, significant changes and transformations in traditional mass media have been experienced. In particular, the reproduction of traditional media in the new media environment through the internet has made it even more effective. Thus, radio broadcasting, which was described as an important and effective mass communication tool in the first years when it was invented, has begun to adapt and broadcast in both terrestrial and satellite and digital areas. The transition of radio broadcasting to digital space has increased the number of its listeners and on the other hand, it enabled citizens living abroad to be informed of news about Kyrgyzstan. In this context, it is aimed to give information about the development of radio broadcasting in Kyrgyzstan, its current situation, the process of transition to digital broadcasting, the radio channels which broadcast in both terrestrial and satellite and digital areas and about their development perspectives. According to the results of the research, it was revealed that the digitization process positively affected the national radio channels in Kyrgyzstan.
