Kültür, bir toplumu diğer toplumlardan ayıran, onu özel kılan, geçmişinin ve tarihinin en önemli değerleridir ve bireylerin üretici oldukları alanlarda hayata katmış oldukları tüm değerleri içinde barındırmaktadır. Kültür ve insan etkinlikleri ve bu etkinliklerin gelişimi ,bireysel yaşamlardan toplumsal yaşama geçtikçe değişiklik göstermekte ve farklı sanatsal yaratıcılıklarla karşımıza çıkmaktadır.Tarihsel süreç içerisinde seramik, insanoğlunun hayatına kap,kacak gibi günlük kullanım eşyaları olarak dahil olsa da, sonraki süreçlerde barınma ihtiyacından yola çıkarak mimari alanda , insanoğlunun yaşamını güzelleştirme ve estetik değerler katmasında temel malzemeyi oluşturmuştur. Anadolu’da yaşamış olan tüm uygarlıkların zengin mirası, her dönem bu topraklarda yaşayan sanatçılara ilham kaynağı olmuştur. Özellikle, Anadolu mimarisinin temel taşlarını oluşturan Selçuklu ve Osmanlı kültür-sanatı da, sanatçıların esin kaynağı olmuş ve bu değerler, sanatçılar tarafından imgeleştirilerek eserlerine yansımıştır. Cumhuriyet tarihiyle birlikte sanata ve sanatçıya verilen önem ve değer artmıştır.Yurt içi ve yurt dışı eğitim bursları,açılan seramik fabrikaları , özel atölyeler,sanat eğitimi veren kurumlar ve sanat galerileri sanatın tüm alanlarında olduğu gibi, çağdaş Türk seramik sanatında da önemli gelişmelerin başlangıcını oluşturmuştur. Anadolu’nun zengin kültürünün temellerini attığı, günümüz Çağdaş Türk Seramik Sanatı’nda sanatçılar bu kültürel kodlarla ve kendi kişisel yorumlarıyla, seramik duvar panolarını şekillendirmişlerdir. Üretilen eserlerin ana maddesi kil olmakla birlikte; teknoloji ile gelen yeniliklere ve malzeme çeşitliliğine açık olan sanatçılar, bu imkanlardan faydalanarak tarihsel süreç içerisinde üretmeye devam etmişlerdir. Bu araştırmada, tarihteki mimari yapılarda kullanılan seramik malzeme, çini, tuğla eserler ve çağdaş Türk seramik sanatında duvar panosu çalışan, seçilmiş sanatçılardan ve çalışmalarından örnekler verilerek irdelenmiştir.
Culture is the most important values of its past and history, which distinguishes a society from other societies, which makes it special, and contains all the values that individuals have contributed to life in the fields in which they are productive. The cultural and human activities and the development of these activities are changing from individual life to social life and are facing us with different artistic creativities.In the historical process, the ceramics are included in the life of the human being as daily use items, but in the subsequent process, starting from the need for accommodation in the architectural field, the basic material in the beauty of the human life and the added of aesthetic values. The rich heritage of all the civilizations that have lived in Anadolu has been a source of inspiration for the artists living in these territories every time. In particular, the Selçuklu and Ottoman culture-art, which formed the core stones of the Anadolu architecture, has become the source of inspiration for artists and these values have been reflected in their works by the artists. With the history of the Republic, the importance and value given to the art and the artist has increased.Inland and abroad educational scholarships,opened ceramic factories, private workshops,institutions that provide art education and art galleries, as in all the fields of art, have made the beginning of significant developments in contemporary Turkish ceramic art. In today’s Contemporary Turkish Ceramic Art, where the rich culture of Anadolu is founded, the artists have shaped the ceramic wall panels with these cultural codes and their own personal interpretations. Although the main material of the produced works is silk; the artists who are open to the innovations that come with technology and the variety of materials have continued to produce in the historic process, taking advantage of these possibilities. In this study, the ceramic material used in the architectural structures of history, chini, rubber works and wall panels working in contemporary Turkish ceramic art, has been drawn up with examples of selected artists and works.

The rich heritage of all civilizations that lived in Anatolia has always been a source of inspiration for artists living in this land. Especially, Seljuk and Ottoman culture and art, which constitute the cornerstones of Anatolian architecture, have also been an inspiration to the artists who envisioning these values and reflected them in their works. Whit the history of the Republic,the importance and value attached to the arts and artists have increased.Domestic and international education scholarships have been given,ceramic factories,private workshops,art education institutions and art galleries have been opened.These factors were the beginning of important developments in contemporary Turkish ceramic art as well as in all branches of art. In contemporary Turkish ceramic art, of which, the rich Anatolian culture laid the foundations, the artists shaped ceramic wall panels with these cultural codes and their personal interpretations. Although the main ingredient of the produced works is clay; the artists, who are open to innovations and material diversity coming with technology, continued to produce in time by making use of these opportunities. In this research, ceramic materials used in historical architectural structures as tiles, brick works and wall panels in contemporary Turkish ceramic art are examined by giving examples from selected artists and their works.
