45 of the United States. President Donald J. Trump has adopted a conservative/right position in domestic and foreign policy since his appointment. In accordance with this position, he has engaged in discriminatory practices that have reached foreign hostility to immigrants or refugees in the country; he has avoided military interventions in terms of use of force, despite his severe rhetoric; and in international trade he has followed a protective policy. Trump, due to these characteristics in recent period in the academic environments and the media in the United States, is 7th of the country. Compared to President Andrew Jackson, the country’s domestic and foreign policy has begun to be claimed to be a axis defined as Jackson’s approach. Jackson was accused of foreign hostility because of his hostile policies against North American indigenous peoples; he was also recognized as an isolant and anti-intervention leader because of his avoidance of use of force. On the other hand, the approach to international trade has become close to a liberal line. In this study, comparing the two state men, foreigners' policy, force use policy and international trade policy contexts, the similarities and differences between them were studied, aimed at evaluating the current US policies from a historic perspective.
