Abstract:

Clustering, with its most simple and traditional definition, is the geographical concentration in a specific sector. The theoretical framework is shaped by the work of M. E. Porter in the 1990’s and nowadays continuing its popularity both in academic studies and practice. Studies before Porter have considered the concept of clustering only as geographical agglomeration; Porter clustering in innovation and collaboration has earned competitive terms. In addition, he mentioned relations between players and importance of supporting organizations. InTurkey, learning the theoretical framework and the applications of clustering the agenda issues from different perspectives, discussing possible academic study topics are the main purpose of this study.For this purpose, articles and graduate theses produced in social sciences and natural sciences were examined.In the studies it has been seen that the cluster capacities of existing heaps were examined;the work of presenting the situation of the existing cluster association is not sufficient; the failures of the clusters were due to their inability to implement the principle of mutual cooperation.
