Abstract:

The most important and least emphasized of these deficiencies is the "motivation deficiency". The purpose of this research is to identify the motivation problems and resources of students who prefer to learn Turkish as a foreign language at Çanakkale Onteen March University, Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center (COMÜ-TÖMER). In the study, a visual scan method was used. The survey was conducted to 111 foreign students studying in TOMÜ-TOMER. The data obtained, frequency, arithmetic average and percentage calculations were made. The research has found that the most important source of motivation for students is from internal causes. "A training-learning process that will take place in accordance with my expectations will increase my desire for Turkish learning." 4.30 The most important motivation problem is determined as a result of external causes. “I don’t like the countries in which I speak the language I learn is a disadvantage for me when I learn Turkish.” of 3.67.
