Abstract:

This research is to investigate the contribution of the children and youth art museums to the education of visual arts in accordance with the opinions of the teachers. The literature scan model and the semi-configured conversation method have been applied. There were a meeting with 21 teachers of visual arts in Konya Ereğli. The data collected and arranged outcomes and assessments were included in regular rankings. In order to determine the views of teachers on the field, questions such as the contribution and achievements of the Children and Youth Art Museum to art education, the need for museum education, the theoretical and practical contribution to the museum education were asked; . The findings have been found in the provision of museum education and the result is that teachers have a low rate of students taking to the museum; the museum has achieved a low rate of conceptual and practical work. The need for museum education, the possible achievements of these museums and the contribution of these achievements to the art education, have been found in statements that support the relevant literature. The Museum of Art for Children and Youth is believed to be a great contribution to the art education that will bring positive benefits to the society.
