Abstract:

The aim of this study, organized according to the Nicel research model, is to determine the views of the candidates for Turkish teachers and the candidates for primary mathematics teachers on speech concerns. In this regard, the opinions of teaching candidates on speech concerns are compared in terms of gender, department, university and class level variables. In the framework of the study, the data collection was used by Kinay and Özkan (2014) developed by the "Teacher Candidate's Speech Anxiety Scale". The study group of Fırat, Kastamonu, Erciyes and Pair Ibrahim Chechen University Education Faculty of Turkish Teaching and Primary Mathematics Teaching constitutes 1st and 4th class students. The data was analyzed using the SPSS package program. To determine whether there is differentiation according to gender and division variables in determining the level of concern for the speaking skills of the teacher candidates, independent groups t test, and Mann Whitney U test in cases where the distribution is not normal. To determine whether the university variable is different, a variable analysis was made. There are significant differences between the research and the views of Turkish and Primary Mathematics teacher candidates on speech concerns.
