Participation of women in labor is important in terms of her representation in public sphere. Recently, the emphasis on her dual work as a wife and a mother in private sphere causes problems in her involvement in paid labor. Her roles as a wife and mother limits her while joining in the paid labor and even after being accepted. Moreover, women face with a lot of barriers with regards to high-ranked positions. Therefore, it is important that this traditional understanding be eradicated so that women can take part in paid work in great numbers. Special regulation in order to increase the number of working women and their social security rights are necessary. There are many regulations regarding women in the Social Insurance and General Health Insurance Law (5510). This study aims at investigating the regulations about “working women” in this Law 5510. Therefore, general regulations about working women in the Law are researched and regulations about long term and short term insurance specifications are studied. In addition, regulation about indebtedness of working women is investigated.
