In this study, 1188 examination questions and answers, between the years 2004-2007, were gathered from the Biology teachers working in Erzurum. The levels of questions and answers by students were classified according to Bloom Taxonomy in terms of “levels of klowledge, understanding, application, analysis, syntheris and evalıation” and cognitive development levels were determined. As fort he results, teachers tend to ask questions with regard to knowledge and in relation to this, students’ answers are in paralel to the levels of the questions.
