Abstract:

The aim of this study is to investigate the views of teachers candidates studying in the Department of Image-work Education in relation to the practices and activities carried out within the framework of the Community Service Applications (THU) course. It has also been performed by both quality and quantum methods. The study universe/example was formed in the 2014-2015 spring semester by Atatürk University, Kazim Karabekir Education Faculty, Picture Business Education and Mathematics from 45 final class students who are taking this course. Quantitative data in the study were obtained with the liquid type of "the scale of the assessment of the community service course" while the qualitative data were obtained with the semi-structured interview form developed on the basis of the expert opinions. In the analysis of quantity data, percentage, frequency, arithmetic average and standard deviation were used. The data has been analyzed by content analysis. According to the findings obtained in the research, the teaching candidates indicated that the course gave them social sensitivity, awareness, comfort and responsibility in human relationships, they saw sufficient assistance and support from the teaching staff who guided them, they saw the support and support of the institutional managers and employees who went. They pointed out that the contributions of the lesson were quite large, but sometimes they stressed that there were financial difficulties. According to the other findings obtained from the study, the course is given in the last class shows that the teacher candidates are difficult because they come to the same period as the school experience course and they want to take the THU course in the previous periods. In the light of the findings obtained, a number of recommendations for research to be carried out at the end of the study were made.
