Today, the rapidly changing and increasingly difficult living conditions render the physical and psychological capacities of individuals and increase the negative impacts of stress. The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of stress in the organizational setting, and to investigate the variables that cause organizational stress among employees and their expectations from top management about the issue, with considering the gender differences. In doing so, a survey was conducted on the white collar women and men employees in a manufacturing firm in Izmir Atatürk Organize Sanayi Bölgesi (IAOSB) with following a semistructured interview methodology. The results of study reveal that there is no meaningful difference among female and male employees on the stress factors and the respondents reported the factors regarding with the structure of task and management style as the highest important factors. However, the findings show that female employees face with an additional stressor in almost all factors due to the gender discrimination
