The present study aims to investigate the effects of level of interpersonal trust on psychological safety and employee voice and whether psychological safety has mediating role on relationship between interpersonal trust and employee voice. Hypotheses of the study were tested with a sample of 201 academic staff from Malatya Inonu University. As a result of this study, it was determined that academic staff’s interpersonal trust level was effective on promoting psychological safety and employee voice. In addition, the results demonstrated that psychological safety has partial mediating role on the relation between trust put on the supervisor, a dimension ofinterpersonal trust, and employee voice; and full mediating role on the relationship between trust to workmate, another dimension of interpersonal trust, and employee voice. Based on the findings high interpersonal trust might boost participation and organizational performance via psychological safety and employee voice.
