The purpose of this survey study was to reveal gifted adolescents’ stress levels, stress sources, and reaction types against stress. The population of the study involved adolescents studying at secondary school level in and attending Science and Art Centers. The sample included a total of 161 adolescents, 72 men and 89 women selected via convenience sampling method. A personal information form and the Student-Life Stress Inventory-Revised were used as the data collection tools. On the other hand, gifted students scored significantly higher than the norm in cognitive-appraisal. Moreover, gifted adolescents had higher level of self-imposed stress sources but lower level of changes-related stress. Gifted adolescents’ reactions against stress were at the “mild” category. They showed physiological reactions the least whereas cognitive appraisal reactions the most. Gifted adolescents’ stress sources and reactions against stress did not significantly differ in terms of gender and grade level.
