The concept of “Arab Spring” which began in 2010 and spread from Tunisia to Middle East Region cause a rapid change for all countries except Syria. But, conflict occurred in Syria evolve a civil war instead of a regime transformation. Because of civil war in Syria, neighboring countries such as Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon were affected seriously. Millions of people had to immigrate to those countries before they attempt to move towards European countries. 2.7 millions of refugees have come to Turkey since the beginning of the Syrian crisis and it is estimated that the number will gradually increase in the future. This paper has examined the social and economic reliefs for Syrian refugees which is granted by Gaziantep municipalities. In this study, Arab Spring data and statistics obtained from Turkish Government and Municipalities official data were used to analyze in detail in the case of Gaziantep. 17 percent (325.140) of Gaziantep city population comes from Syrian refugees and those people are contributed by Gaziantep Municipalities in terms of socio-economic and cultural ways.
