The aim of this study is to state 4th and 5th grade students? point of view about their own performance tasks in the lesson social studies In this study survey was used from the techniques of descriptive research Data were gathered with ?scale of students? opinions about the performance tasks? and ?scale of determination of problems encountered during the process of preparing performance tasks? Study was conducted in 2009 2010 academic year on 992 4th and 5th class students Analysis methods were descriptive statistics frequency percentage and mean and MANOVA In the light of findings ıt was concluded while opinions about participation and problems factors change according to school district; in addition to these opinions about daily life factor change class level
