Balanced Scorecards for Auditing Purposes in Hotel Companies Efficient usage of limited sources is one of the most important while managing the organizations that are willing to provide healthy return (and growth) to their stakeholders and that are willing to protect their assets in the long run as well as in the short run. Operational control is also as important as auditing that includes controlling and examining the appropriateness of financial reports, may be even more important during the operational decision making process. Nowadays operational control methods are more efficient in comparison to traditional methods. While traditional methods are focused on costs and cost management, they are focusing on all perspectives of organizations’ managerial issues. For instance, balance scorecard applications can provide valuable information to the management in terms of financial, customer, internal learning and operational improvement perspectives. Such information can also be a valuable base for the auditing and control purposes. In this study, the factors that can influence the success of the business while implementing balance scorecard applications for auditing purposes are investigated. The potential problems during the implementation of the balance scorecard applications and their possible solutions are exposed.
