The purpose of this study is to determine the opinions of the educators and students about memorization education in the Hafız İmam Hatip Secondary Schools. In the research, qualitative research model has been adopted to describe the case study. The study group of the study, there are 20 memorization educators in the Marmara Region who are studying in the secondary school and 50 students in the same school. The criterion sampling method was used in the selection of the Memorization Educators and the contrary sampling method was used in the selection of the students. The research data were collected by focus group interview method. Three focus group interviews were conducted with the tutors who gave education on Memorization and eight focus group interviews were conducted among the students who were educated in Memorization. Content analysis method was used in the analysis of the data. The obtained data are separately coded and the resulting codes are tabulated by combining them under main themes and sub themes. The Opinions of Memorization Educators and their students about Memorization education were presented under two headings as "Factors facilitating memory education" and "Factors that make memory education difficult" as appropriate for research problems. Various suggestions have been developed according to the results obtained.
