Abstract:

The concept of globalization expresses that a layout ,aiming to provide integration around the world in economic, cultural, social, environmental etc. areas, changing people's lifestyles, and making country boundaries insignificant. It is also possible to explain the concept of globalization, which has reflections in predominantly economic sense, as the movement of capital and labor worldwide.Poverty, which is as old as human history, is one of the major interests of the development economy. In general, it is possible to define poverty that as an inability situation to meet the basic needs of people to survive. While the world is undergoing major developments over the last 50 years and experiencing a large income increase, poverty has continued to exist in the same dimensions. The direst of this schedule is, approximately 18,000,000 people, or one third of total human deaths, lose their lives at very early ages due to poverty-related reasons each year. In poverty-related studies, it is not right to be handled income alone. It is true that income is an important dimension of development, but just not the income dimension of development exists. In this study, it was emphasized that thoughts and theses put forward under the name of globalization did not really extinguish poverty, but served as a poverty-boosting leverage. The purpose and intention of this article is to pave the way for poverty reduction activities, not blemish the globalization.
