The purpose of this study is to examine the necessity and job utility of courses taking part in the elemantary education program. The research population in the 2012-2013 academic year, Pamukkale University Faculty of Education Department of Teaching Elementary School fourth-grade teacher candidates are studying in. All 300 teachers in the universe has been reached. Data was obtained using the measuring tool prepared by the researcher. The reliability coefficient was calculated as a measurement tool 0.812. Most five courses required for classroom teaching, literacy courses, teaching practice, Turkish teaching, school experiences, classroom management courses. Minimum order required courses, general physics, history of civilization, general chemistry, philosophy of education, sociology of education has lessons. The job utility most students find work teaching practice, respectively, of the courses, literacy teaching, guidance, school experience, Turkish teaching; the job utility at least that students work while explicitly courses in physics, chemistry, biology, art, education, history of civilization, scientific research methods, measurement and evaluation seems to be that
