This research has been done to determine the views of the teachers who work in high schools and their competency to prevent the violence in schools according to their sex, seniority and type of school varieties. These competences are studied through student extent, teacher extent, parent-environment extent and educational atmosphere extent. Working group of this study is 244 teachers. They are working in high schools in Mersin city center. Data is collected from “Scale of Qualification That School Managers Must Have To Prevent Violence”. To analyze the data, descriptive analysis, t-test and Anova were used. As a result of research findings, high school teachers who builds working group think that competences which school managers must have to prevent violence must be “very much” level by teacher, student and parentenvironment dimensions. Educational atmosphere dimension is at “much” level. Moreover, educational atmosphere dimension has meaningful difference according to school type variety and student dimension has also meaningful difference according to seniority variety. Sex variety doesn’t have meaningful difference on the dimensions
