Özet:

The specific language and structure of translation have affected not only the translators but also the writers. This study tries to explore how the act of translation becomes essential for the writer and what kind of opportunities it provides. This explains why the writer gets involved in the translation activity that is the product resulting from this activity is a different text type. The differences between a writer's translating a work of art to his native language and a translator's doing the same work depends on the writer's individual and cultural background. One important topic that will be discussed is whether this background brings about a significant change in the function of the translation. A writer uses the facilities his mother tongue offers to create a work of art and while integrating translation into his writing process he himself alongside his reader should be able to benefit from the new horizons that open up. From this point of view, it is worth underlying the dominant role that translation plays, especially, in terms of introducing the form of a text and diversifying its interpretation. Besides, in this article the assertion that translation managed to get a status obtaining a place as opposed to other texts will also be discussed while investigating the reasons why translation requires a different reception
