The samples of short film can be found in every sort of commercial, classic and modernist cinema styles which had been coming out throughout history of the cinema and even these films just as feature films can be evaluated in terms of both content-style relation and, cultural-historical originality. The matter of this article is Turkish shorts. In this article, an answer is seeked to the question of whether the cultural and historical originality in terms of content-style relation could be traced in these films, taking common and particular characteristics of commercial, classic and modernist cinema into consideration. At first view it can be claimed that Turkish shorts have this kind of originality, but in order to make a real classification it is required to be clarified in detail whether the narrative features of commercial, classic and modernist cinema is localised or not in these films. For this purpose, first commercial, classic and modernist style is going to be analysed in detail and then it is going to be examined whether these stylistic details involved or not in Turkish shorts which are sampled, if they are involved, in which ways these details are localised in these films
