Cronyism, which has become an important phenomenon of today’s business world effects all sector deeply as well as hotel industry. This study examined the perceptions of hotel employees toward cronyism. Employees were choosed as a sample that are working in the one, two and three star hotels in İstanbul. Data was obtained from 105 employees by questionnaire technique. According to the findings, about half of the participants think that there are several differences in favor of some employees in terms working conditions such as working hours, using equipments etc. However, it was determined that the perceptions of employees toward cronyism is unstable. There is no statistically significant relationship found between demographic characteristics of the participants and the perceptions of employees toward cronyism
