The origins of the Cyprus Issue goes back to the Greek poet Rigas Ferreros who was Ottoman citizen, and his Megali-Idea Map drawn inwhich Bucharest in 179, and then which was printed in Vienna in 1796. According to the map, the Byzantine Empire will be revived, and the Turks will be dismissed from twelve regions where the Ottoman Empire rules. The Orthodox Cypriot Greeks survivored from the oppression and persecution of the Latin Catholic under favour of Turks, but under the influnce of some western states, they rebelled the Ottoman State which they were consisting in. Fallowing the lease of the Cyprus to the Britain in 1878, Greeks‟ wishes for Enonis increased steadily. In the forthcoming years, Britain ex parte annexation of the Cyprus, and pretexed that the Ottoman State‟s entered war against them during the First World War. As is known Turkish Nation reborned from its ashes, and established the Republic of Turkey. As fort hat Cyprus was out of the borders of the new Turkish State with the Treaty of Laussanne and became a British Crown Colony in 1925.
