Participation Banks are interest-free institions and they are alternative to traditional banking. The share of participation banks in the general banking sector in Turkey is around 5%. When the number of employees and number of branches are taken into account, the importance of appraising the performance of the Participation Banks arises. In this study, 10 ratios calculated from the financial statement items of the participation banks. The weightings of the criterions according to each other were determined by the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Moreover, Grey Relational Analysis (GRA), which makes it possible to make a decision with inadequate data, was used to rank the performance of the paritipation banks. As a result, the ranking fort he period under review was: Vakıf Katılım, Kuveyt Turk, Ziraat Katılım, Türkiye Finans and Albaraka Turk. As a result, the overall status and performance appraisal of the participation banks by 2016 has been realized.
